Hannah graduated from Bournemouth University in 2013 with a 2:1 BSc (hons).
After graduating Hannah worked for the East Dorset Community Team working with clients with learning and physical disabilities coordinating compassionate and high-quality health and physiotherapy care.
Hannah then completed two years of physiotherapy rotations at Lymington Hospital including Elderly Rehab within a ward and community setting, Neuro Rehab and Musculoskeletal Outpatients. Hannah provided daily rehabilitation to improve mobility, strength and function to enable patients to return home safely. Within the community, exercise programmes were adapted within a home environment to increase mobility and exercise tolerance which increased independence and confidence, preventing falls and further hospital admissions.
Musculoskeletal and Orthopaedics became also became an interest and she has worked within this speciality for four years within the NHS. This involved 1:1 Musculoskeletal assessment and treating patients with multi pathologies, musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain.
Through working at Bournemouth Hospital on the Orthopaedic Wards, Hannah has an interest in pre and post orthopaedic rehab and has knowledge of the different orthopaedic surgeries and rehabilitation protocols involved within the rehabilitation process.
Hannah has also taught various exercise groups; including post-operative knees, Lower limb strengthening, Chronic Pain, Shoulder Rehab and Back Pain classes which all have an element of education and exercise prescription to improve self-management and confidence with exercise.
Hannah has a passion for working with the elderly and is currently also is working for an NHS community team, finding it a rewarding and fulfilling role to provide patient centred care and help clients to reach their goals in order to improve function, balance, mobility and strength to optimise physical and mental wellbeing.
In her spare time Hannah has been studying for an MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy and is now an ACPAT Veterinary Physiotherapist and is fully qualified to treat animals.
