COVID-19 Update for Lockdown 3 (January 2021)
During this lockdown, the government has recognised that physiotherapy is an essential service therefore we are able to remain open and are continuing to work throughout this new lockdown. We want to reassure you that we take the health and wellbeing of all our clients very seriously and have a number of measures in place to ensure we minimise the risk of any of our staff or clients catching or transmitting COVID-19:
- No one present for the session is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (this includes the physiotherapist, client and any family or carers that may be present). Please be open and honest about this and inform us before we are on our way to your home– we want to protect everyone that we see.
- We will consider whether a virtual appointment is appropriate for you and discuss this with you if it may be
- We will continue to follow all the recommendations regarding PPE (personal protective equipment) and infection control measures and would ask you to consider wearing a face mask during sessions to further reduce risk
- We will consider and weigh up (with conversation with our clients) the benefits of physiotherapy vs. the risk of COVID in each individual case
If you have any questions or concerns about this please do feel free to speak with us. We will continue to keep up to date with the advice from our Government, NHS England as well as the WHO (World Health Organisation) and keep you informed of any significant changes to our service.
